I had a 2013 550 and the 1-2 second lag was normal for my car (even in sport +). It's there. Others may not have felt it or their cars didn't do it, but mine did. And I hated it.

I purchased black floor mats for my beige interior F10 and loved them. They felt far more sporty than beige. But I also had the black headliner so they went well with that.
