Spoke with the owner today and, just as driller suggested, it was the selector rod shaft. The plastic attached to one end had shattered and left it disconnected. The shaft was 15 euros and...

Agree completely; had my TC done at around 30K. Trying to find a good indy and time to get the diffs done. Someone posted the front plug was a small challenge so I'm disinclined to do it myself.

Most likely they would consider that a YES since I've asked the dealer to change mine a couple of times and they say they can't because there's no drain plug starting with the 2008 models.
