If you have to have a six, then my vote would be the 650i. If I was 18 and going into college, then I would buy something smaller with less gas/maintenance/insurance costs and save the six purchase...

Sounds like your battery inside the key fob is wearing down ... Best to try replacing it first as they are cheap. Several good threads here show how to replace.

Yep - get quotes from at least several independent shops. I had to get several quotes before I found shop that would cut out all three resonator boxes and install my x-pipe for around $100-150...
