I've been driving in the snow for 50 years so have done so on many rear wheel drive cars not with the benefit of traction control systems. I love my E39, but it is by far the worst I've ever driven...

If the battery will not hold charge and you have any kind of warranty on it, take it back and get a new one. Costco gives 100% replacement up to 36 months on ones they sell.

I think that those that can help you need more information. 6 or 8 cylinder? Better orientation of the connectors you are referring to. Very difficult to determine location from your pic.

Maybe cam position sensor. When mine went bad it also threw a misfire code. Replaced the sensor and cleared the codes. All good.

Here you go. With regard to the alarm chirp, there is only one siren AFAIK, so if you're getting a chirp from the left rear fender all is well.
