Tightening or loosening the screw when the engine is hot seemed to increase the flow of coolant leaking out. I don't think the screw is damaged - and the cap is certainly holding the pressure in. I...

Topaz: hmmm.. When I loosen the screw, the coolant leak got worse? Is it possible it just wasn't tight enough? So far, I'm not seeing a crack, but it's hard to tell unless I remove it and take a good...

Hi, Fudman:

My Replacement tank is a Behr - and the certified master mechanic at my local repair shop ripped me off to the tune of about $189 for it.
Perhaps, not having the thermostat and water...

I'm not nearly so worried anymore after looking at this DIY. Looks like a quick simple fix, though may be a little messy with coolant leaking.
This is one of the few things I think I can do myself....

My Radiator, Expansion Tank, water pump and thermostat have all been replaced in the last 11 months. Last night had a puddle of fluid under my car - and I've found out it's coming from my new...

Alright - I've had it - this car is messing with me.

I really begin to wonder if this car is telling me to get the heck out of here. Sell it and be done with it. I fiddled with the electric driver side window switch for about 15 minutes last night....

Stop! Engine Oil Pressure

I know there are lots of threads on this. The consensus seems to be bad oil sensor or possibly oil pump. My car has been doing this for a while now, but seemed to do it consistently this summer when...

Solution when ASC Light Won't Turn Off

The ASC depends on the throttle control which opens and closes to modify power during slippage. There is a throttle cable that controls this. When the ASC is turned off, the throttle is 100% open...

ASC Problem Fixed: I'll post pictures and details later as I have time.

It turned out not to be that hard. I got lucky, thinking I'd clean my ICV just for fun - that's where I found the loose cable.

Fixed. ASC Light now turns on and off again!

The loose cable was the problem all along. It's not that difficult to fix once you realize where it goes underneath the throttle control body. I will post pictures and more details on the original...

Could it be??? This is the reason my ASC stopped working? Is this the ASC Throttle Cable? I'm having a hard time confirming or finding the right pictures that will show me where to attach this sucker.

I was removing the ICV to clean it, when this throttle-type cable either popped loose or was already loose. Can someone please identify what this is and where it connects?

My 540i is leaking a whole heap of fluid.. AC I think?

Over the last few months, my AC hasn't been getting cold. I add a can of freon and it works for a few days, then gradually gets warmer again. I suspect a huge leak because now I'm getting a ton of...
