Update, I emaled again Monday 9/12/2005, and received a call that afternoon from the BMWNA rep. He told me he had arranged everything with my local dealer & gave me the contact info for the Service Director. I left a message for the service director, and went ahead and scheduled the repair w/ the service dept. I did not have to bring the car in for any further diagnosis before the repair. I never heard back from the service director, but everything was taken care of on the bill. BMWNA covered the part, and I paid for the labor.
