I just got my dead pixels fixed. I was in the dealership last week getting my car’s transmission looked at (it was shifting hard) when I had mentioned to the service rep that I had dead pixels and that it would be nice if they could fix them. Much to my surprise he said no problem and order a new display. Sure enough, I went to the dealership this morning and they put it in -- free of charge! I was expecting maybe a 50-100 install fee. Anyways, I would like to know why my treatment was so much different than any one else’s (not that I am complaining). I don't know if it is because I have a '03 with only 22K miles (original warranty) on it or because they have stuck it to me on ever other car I have taken them and now they are showing mercy . Perhaps I got a service rep who was not up to snuff on BMWNA’s replacement policy… Just thought I would share this with you all... I hope you have as good of luck did!
