Ok, need some advice.

The thought of tearing my car apart to put this thing in scares me - not that I couldn't do it, just that if I broke something I'd forever be ticked at myself for trying to save $180.

That said, my dealer just quoted
$350 for the part
$180 for the install (3 hours total, the last hour is recoding and BMW pays for that)
+ tax

Total $550ish

Thoughts?
