We had a bought new 1982 320i here in Kansas City...traded in our 1972 2002tii on it, so I found it quite boring but at least more modern. E21s are now quite rare in the states...I see maybe one a week on the streets here. When the E30s came out everybody got rid of their E21s. You still see a lot of those running around though.
