I have an 06 MCS. Just changed the oil myself @ 1,494 miles. (to get the break-in crap out). They use full synthetic, just like what you should put in the BMW's. This time around, I used German made Castrol, 0W-30. Watch out for some of the US made Castrol. Not all brands are Full synthetic, but rather blends or dino "cracked".
5W--30 is what's called out for them. I heard folks use Mobil 1, Redline, Castrol (full synthetic). Use the 5W-30 of those brands, and you'll be fine. More info here:
