It sounds like an enhanced Alpha-N, one that conforms today's strict emission standards.
Alpha-N uses RPM and the position (angle) of the throttle butterfly (Alpha), where the new system uses these, plus a bunch of other parameters.
Of course, this will require a bad-ass DME, which will enable real-time monitoring of all these parameters and forward them to the engine.
