After 60,000 km, my FSR finally failed (or it has been busted for awhile).
I took it to the service department and had it fixed in 5 minutes. I wish that I would have been paying attention and found this thread. 
I paid $185 for this fix... 
But hey, it works now, just in time for me to trade in my car.
