Oh snap, while searching out exhaust sounds for this thread, I came across this one. It's hard to beat the big daddy, this ///M6 sounds hot with the Eisenmann I may have to go shopping :thumbup::thumbup:
That's a bit harder with the Eisenmann. They only offer a choice of tips on the M6. The 645/645 setup always uses round tips. If I bought them, I'd personally hate to cut up a nice exhaust to replace the tips.
So as many of you know i have a 645 and want to throw magnaflows in but want to keep the original tips. Has anyone done that? which Magnaflow exhaust do i need? just wanted to make sure i have the proper part # 11366, which is 4in x 9in, inlet/outlet 2.5, position: Center/Offset. i think the stock exhaust is offset/offset but also seems wider so i was just wondering. any quick help is greatly appreciated. i'm looking to do this over the weekend so need to order the parts asap.
Also, if you did get magnaflows, which muffler did you get? as far as i know the options are 3.5x7, 4x9, 5x11, 5x8.
Also coming with that is 2 resonator deletes with front X pipe and rear straight tubing.
schulrog everything is possible when you swing your money to a person who wants to make money but I recommend to get custom tips. You want to use quads not duals!
If you do it right might as well call it custom made body. Same as a custom made body kit, except in a different taste I will show you mine how it looks I custom cut mine cleanly...I will post pix soon.
I ended up getting Magnaflow #14816. I think BMWTuRk7x has the same ones. Really happy with them. Now that they're on, I with they were staggered too. Either way, I'm really happy with the sound and look.
Schulrog you should be fine. The tips are more of a cosmetic thing, it's your muffler and your resonator that determines the sound level of your exhaust system. Muffler is that box shaped thing that your tips connect to. Going quads over duals there's more air-flow from the mufler which is why quads = more hp gain (Even though hp gain from exhaust system isn't that much) quads = higher sound level as well. I will get that pix I told you about this weekend gatta get me a camera for when I put the rims on this weekend.
I'm doing that with the Magnaflow #11366. Mufflers with stock tips and getting a custom x-pipe made to replace the front resonators and will leave the rear resonators in for now.
If anyone is interested in a custom x-pipe, i can see if he can just fabricate an extra one when he does mine next friday.
