X5 looks like it uses a different rim and tire. rolling diameter comes out to 662mm
the E60 spare is 647mm
the E46 spare is 632mm
Stock E9x varies from 640mm( 19" rolling diameter front) to 634mm (17" sport package front)
IMHO, its too much of a difference for the X5 spare. almost an inch in diameter.
