Arghhh this sucks to read. My X3 had the same problem but the water did not damage anything. Now I am looking at the 5 wagon and it has the same problem. The dealer covered the cleaning but they gave me the same bull**** story about not parking under threes. Well there is nothing but threes to park under here in Brooklyn plus if they know why not at least tell the customer or have a service plan to avoid it - is there even a know recommendation from BMW of how to maintain?
