No, you don't have to mess with the frame; just remove the large black shield that protects the under-carriage to access the oil pan. Remove the bolts, the bottom drops down, and you cal clean off the old gasket material. replace the new gasket and reinstall. Torque the bolts properly; don't overdo it or you'll shear them.

Definitely DIY.
