I'm driving a 2001 525i, and I cannot get the trunk to open using any of the electrical means. Yes I could use the key manually, but it's getting on my nerves when I forget to unlock the car before using the key... causing the alarm to go off.

The trunk lock is in the vertical position, and my central locking system is working just fine. But the trunk does not respond to my remote entry, nor the button below the steering wheel. Any ideas?
Hmmm, well forget what I wrote in the other thread...it sounds like you may have an issue with the trunk's wiring loom.

Check out what bluebee writes in her thread above...and do a search on that topic. It's been discussed enough that you should run into good DIY info...if nothing else...do an advanced search for threads by bluebee on this topic...she's great with pics and notation/instructions.
