There is a lot of talk about BMW doing a 3er GT in the fashion of the 5er GT. That leads to a lot of speculation there will be no Touring. BMW has not said this is the case, in fact, they haven't said there won't be a 5er Touring.
E90 sales are doing very well and the car is aging well and not losing any big technology competitions. There is no reason to bring the F30 early. I HIGHLY doubt BMW will bring the F30 to market early. I expect the F30 to be introduced some time between the Spring and Fall of 2012 as a 2013 model in the seven year model cycle that is BMW's tradition.
