Right, but they cannot change it 'retroactively' nor can they mis-represent the content of the product.
So if they say "car has 300 HP" and you buy it, they cannot come out later and say "Oh, we are changing the spec to 200 HP"
They cannot say "This car has a ski bag" in the manual, then come out later and say "Oh, we deleted it"
This is why, with the luggage cover delete, BMW explicitly provided a notice as an addendum to the owners manual.
