The mechanic was amazed how simple this reset procedure is. They do it in a different way, and have a way to speed up the learning process. It is very labour intensive, because they have to take the car for a drive and repeat certain gear changes 50 times!

that is the proper way to do it, the press the pedal is only a temporary reprieve most of the time.
