Thanks guys for all the positive comments. It was a lot of fun creating this DIY.

When I went looking for a 6-series oil change DIY a few months ago I was surprised when I came up empty handed. So I took pictures when I did my first change. I also could not find any 5-series or 6-series DIY's for getting the car up on jackstands.

I'll do a full blown DIY on brake pads in a week or two. I don't need rotors yet so it will be pads-only for now. Brakes are probably easier to do than an oil change, and the labor savings are huge. I'll include some info on aftermarket pads available for our cars. I spent about a week researching brake pads before deciding on StopTech pads to replace my OEM pads.
