you have twisted seats, I had the same problem on both sides

It happened to me that I could move the backrest and the seat would eventually looked right or was straight, obviously the position was inadequate for driving.
So, if you will take on the repair, before taking the seat out, move the seat to a straight or even position (even if it is not your preferred driving or comfortable position). This is very important, because if you fix the cables with the seat twisted, once you fix it and install it back into the car, it will move evenly BUT STILL TWISTED, and will have to start over.

you will need an 8mm wrench tools to work with the seat,
