I don't imagine that fluid changes, say at 50K miles, would prevent the stretched chain problem.

Might delay wear on the output shaft bearings though.

I hear that even some Lexus service depts. recommend transfer case service at 45K miles on RX3xx models, even though it is not specified in the maintenance book with the vehicle.
