1. Your overtightened drain plugs are a good example of why I do my own oil changes. You don't save a huge amount of money doing oil changes but you are guaranteed not to have your aluminum threads on the $600 oil pan stripped. 18 lb-ft required for the plug is not much torque so the fact you needed a breaker bar means someone went way overboard.
2. The 6mm is a standard bolt. Must of taken an extreme lack of skill to strip that one considering it's screwed into a plastic housing. If you can't get it out I would replace the housing and get a new drain bolt. A screw extractor should get that bolt out.
The "funny numbers" means you held the odometer reset button too long and went into diagnostics mode. Make sure you release the button and start pressing rapidly after you see one of the 7 check control symbols.
