You can reuse a CCV if you have no mayo and no "quacking" sound. It's unfortunate you didn't get a good aftermarket part. I just did this job myself... the OEM is a real b*tch to fit in as it is. Maybe you should try removing the intake manifold (not super difficult, just the fuel lines are a pain) and fit the new one from underneath.
Have you gotten an insulated one by any chance? That will make it considerably more difficult to fit in.
