hi Karl, I have the same roof issues wit my x5. the dealer told me it was going to cost 4000 aud. could you probably help me by having a look whether there is a cheaper option. roof still opens and closes, but slows down towards the end. in addition, the button doesmnot work adequately and it seems sometimes confused. look forward to hear. michiel
