Of course, the BMWs engine recording is really what you would hear if the car did not have extraordinary sound insulation.

Which begs the question: why not just ditch the insulation and save a couple of hundred pounds?

(The possibilities are endless though! Think upgrading a 318i to an aftermarket V12 with open pipes recording! Will Alpina get involved?)
