Both Octane and fuel consumption are measured differently in Europe! Even the size of a gallon is different.
10l/100km is 25.5 miles per US Gallon.
15l/100km is 15.7 miles per US Gallon.
The 2003 MINI Cooper S used an older less fuel efficient motor.
Our 2008 MINI Cooper used 6.58l/100km. That is 35.7 mpg-US. We always used regular grade fuel.
