I'm no Apple fanboy - the last Apple computer I owned was 25 years ago. However, I do why they are so popular. I have owned a variety of video/mp3 players over the years, and resisted getting an iPod for a long time. However, every other product, whether cheaper or having an allegedly better spec, was no where near as good. Currently, I have an iPod Touch (replaced an iPod Classic), and would get an iPhone if not for the silly expensive monthly fees, considering it wouldn't get me much more functionality than I get with the iPod. My next phone will mostly be a Droid of some sort because of that.
