Cheap doesn't necessarily mean rough ride. Actually, it usually means the opposite. Serious performance suspensions ride very rough because it's better for handling in the corners.


Racelands are the go-to cheap coilover set at about $300-400. Many people, including myself, have run them. They're ok, and they beat a stock suspension (especially if it's shot). If you want to have a little more performance and spend a little more, FK streetline coils are $500-600.


Or you can just go with a decent static shock and spring combo such as Bilstein sport shocks with H&R sport springs for the same price range. That'll lower you some and give you a performance edge over the cheap coils. Only downside is that they aren't adjustable.
