Responded to your other post before I saw this one. Below is what I could answer...

1. I am planning to finance through a Credit Union. When is the balance due at the dealership? Is it after I pick up my car or will all financial transactions have to be finalized before the PCD?

Depends on the dealer and what they require. It will have to be paid for prior to PCD as they will have to send us a copy of the bill of sale and authorization for us to release the vehicle to you (meaning they have been paid in full). We start asking for the paperwork about 1 week out, but depending on your location to the dealer and how the finance approval is being handled, the dealer may require it earlier to ensure the funds are received prior to your delivery date.

2. I have a trade-in. Will I have to leave the trade with the dealer before I come and pick up my car at PCD?

Once again, up to the dealer. I could only imagine they will need the trade when the finance is completed.

3. When you get your car at the dealer and for whatever reason you are not satisfied with it, you can refuse delivery. Can you do the same at the PCD? How do you address damages, problems/issues that you notice upon delivery at PCD?

You can refuse delivery if you choose, but you will need to talk with your dealer while here regarding the reasoning. If there is an ordering issue (i.e. wrong trim was ordered by the dealer), you will need to first discuss the issue with your CA to see if it is something they can correct. We will help handle any cosmetic issues if discovered.

4. How does the inspection/emission sticker get affixed? Most drivers are from out of state so is there a grace period on this? How about the license plate? Temp license plates?

Another dealer question. Obviously we cannot issue inspection stickers for another state, and SC has no inspection needed. If your dealer gives you the sticker to bring with you, you can place it where needed. Otherwise you'll need to have the vehicle inspected upon your return home.

Your dealer should also issue you a license plate or temp tag. Should they encounter a situation in which there state will not allow them to issue a temp tag, they can contact us to see if we can issue one. Most states now have the capability to allow dealers to issue temporary tags for in and out of state residents.
