Mein Auto: X5 e53 3.0i 2006
Go for a 3.0i. It will do about 11-13 Ltrs per 100km city cycle on average and should cost no more than $35 per week for average fuel consumption (Australia). I have a 3.0i 2006 and love it. There is enough power to haul a long trailer or caravan, and the car by itself is relatively quick off the mark when acceleration is applied, and purrs and comes into own with speeds beyond 150km/h. However, try and get a later model 2005 or 2006, and make sure it has a complete service history with Authorised BMW service mechanics, otherwise it will be $$$ !
