no way to clean the afm (air flow meter, not maf... )
there is an adjustment plug near the hinge, iirc...been a looooong time since i have messed with the barn doors. they're a coil spring resistance design, and the coil can become stressed a bit and not read correctly, hence the adjustment. or you could 're-wind' the spring, but that's too much like work....)
the iac looks (or should) the same as on the e36. this could be giving you some funky idle issues, so i would clean that first.
