Hey Chris. As long as the check engine light is off, you should be good to go. I would get my 2000 Saleen to pass TX inspection, and it had long tube headers, NO catalytic converter and a Borla cat-back. I had a great tune that kept the check engine light off. For the TX state inspection they do hook up to the OBD-II, and she still passed .
