Maybe in other markets (of course the other guys get the good stuff  ) , but I'm pretty sure that NA had the same springs, trans ratios, damper valving, sways, etc. The final drive was the only mechanical variable, I believe.

Those are notorious for being stuck open or closed. You may want to source a new one or an aftermarket unit.
