After qualifying on the pole for the first four races this year, it was clear that the pairing of the Chevrolet IndyCar V6 engine with incredible racing teams would be exciting to watch.

Once Team Chevy won those first four races, it was even clearer that Chevy's return to IndyCar would be something you wouldn't want to miss.
Now, 13 races into the season, Team Chevy and the all-new, twin-turbo V6 engine with direct injection won 9 contests and clinched the IZODŽ IndyCar Series Manufacturers' Championship.

Going into Sonoma, Will Power sat atop the standings with three victories to his credit through 12 races. Ryan Hunter-Reay, also with three wins, held the second spot in the points order, just five points down to Power. Two-time winner Helio Castroneves was third in points. Those standings remained unchanged.

Ryan Briscoe got his first win of the season at Sonoma, claiming valuable points for Team Chevy. Chevrolet had 3 drivers finish in the top 5, a true team effort that secured enough points to clinch the Manufacturers' Championship.

This season has been a testament to the determination, hard work, and collaboration between the racing teams and Chevrolet. Chevy is proud to continue advanced powertrain development to supply the technology that IndyCar drivers need to win on Sundays and so Chevrolet drivers can enjoy their ride everyday.
