Dont change oil because of possible metal filings or anything else-- trust the filter and the warrantee .
I have a set of winter tires and nice mag rims from our 2007 x3 , 17 inch - Dealer confirmed that they will be fine.
Metal rimes get ugly and they are heavy. IMHO
I dont use the start and stop very much but it is almost seamless.
