Appreciate the thought, but I remain skeptical. This part came from a Bosch VE injector installed in a 1985 BMW 524td. I realize that it might be a replacement -- but, if that is the case how did the replacement happen? by trial and error? try this Bosch part # then that Bosch # until the proper part is found? I don't think so. The cost to Bosch for inventory with, the same part in how many bins all with different numbers -- doesn't sound like the efficient Germans to me. The idea that Bosch might need to make more solenoids with the BMW # while in the next bin they have stock on the same part with the Bosch # also doesn't sound like the efficient Germans to me, not to mention that it is a formula for significantly higher prices for everyone. Sorry, but I don't see it now.
