I think adaptive suspension is the wave of the future and is a must for any car that is trying to achieve a balance between perfornance and comfort. It truly gives you the best of both worlds. I have it on the 750il and it makes a huge differnce, In sport mode the car is oblivious to NYC potholes and in sport plus on the twisties I can't believe I am driving a car that is as big and as heavy as the 7 is.

I have driven other cars with adaptive suspensions two of the most notable being a Cadillac CTS-V (GM's magnetic ride technolgy is amazing - BMW should license it like Ferrari did) and a Jaguar XKR-S. After the torture I went through with my 2007 335i with the RFTs and the lousy OEM shocks (although from what I have heard the sport suspension in the F30 has solved some of the issues) I would not even consider buying a 3 Series without the adaptive suspension.
