It's not the gas. People keep blaming gas for hit and misses. Let me tell you guys from experience. I have been using the cheapest (premium) gas on all my premium cars, BMW and 911s, for nearly 40 years, and I have never had a gasoline related problem. Old wives tales are hard to break, and this is definitely one of them. Come on guys, processing gas is the same. The only difference is the amount of detergent and other junk they put in it. The cheap gas has sufficient detergent to keep your car from missing and stalling. Amen!
Get 100 octane or jet fuel to run your cars. If you feel good about it, go ahead, but don't blame the off brand gas. Sure, I use Shell or Chevron, but only if Costco or Arco isn't around.
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. Albert Einstein
Swim upstream. Go the other way. Ignore the conventional wisdom. If everybody is doing it one way, there’s a good chance you can find your niche by going exactly in the opposite direction", Sam Walton.
