+1, although it is good that OP documented the defect, as the dealer may try to put him on the hook for damage beyond normal "wear and tear" at lease termination.
As a side note, don't lose sleep on this one - if I had a lease I wouldn't even be washing the damn thing! Enjoy that couldn't care less approach that all rental car drivers should embrace!
