The clip I speak about holds the aluminum hoop at each end, they are located over each wheel well. I've attached a picture of the screwdriver for everyone, great little tool. Fits nicely into the center leg of the clasp, just a little force and it opens up to get that hoop loose.

As far as getting the four plastic retainer clips, at each end of the compartment floor there are spring loaded end caps. I put a flash light in the trunk to see where the slots are, kind of reached over the top with each clip and pushed them on place. It took me a few minutes to figure out the spring loaded end plate thing then even where these stupid things went. Make sure to get the open portion of the clamp towards the rod it grabs on, I think the opening goes inwards towards the trunk.

See if this helps.

Drop us a picture of that boot you're having a problem with. The top boot that is the last item to install is a bugger. I put a little paint thinner on the rubber to make is slide easier. Keep it away from the 3M Trim Tape. Yea a little challenging but it finally fit in OK. I did it a few times without the tape to see how it fit. Drop a picture so we can see it....
