Mike Miller from BMWCCA suggests 5,000 to 7,500. I shoot for 5,000 but my average over 16 oil changes has been closer to 6,000 as we're often on a long road trip when it comes due. I'm at about 99,400 on my 2009 (bought new) with virtually no issues whatsoever. Still looks brand new through the oil filler hole. I use nothing but BMW oil and filters.
