Six days to go and we still have a few spaces left.

Here is our schedule:

Friday night the 26th we will meet for dinner at the Boathouse in Lakeville, CT at 7:00-7:30 PM. Some of us will be coming from the Wake Robin and some will be going directly to the Boathouse.

The Boathouse Restaurant
349 Main Street at intersection of Route 44 & 41
Lakeville, Connecticut 06039

Saturday morning those who are staying at the Wake Robin Inn will meet in the Breakfast Room at 8:30. At 9:30 we will leave for Lime Rock and take a short drive over some back roads to the track. Those who did not stay at the Wake Robin can meet us in the parking lot at 9:30 or they can head directly to Lime Rock, We will arrive at Lime Rock Park at 10:00 and park our cars in Sunoco Paddock. We will then head to Michelin Tower where we will raffle off 5 hot laps (2 riders each) in the Drivers Club M3 with Club coach Simon Kirkby at the wheel. The top 5 bidders will get to ride in the front seat. The Drivers Club will provide helmets and proceeds from the auction will be donated to The American Mural Project. We will meet for lunch in the Drivers Club Chalet at 11:30. Lunch will be provided by Lime Rock Catering, pricing and details to follow.

Wake Robin Inn
106 Sharon Lakeville, CT

Saturday Afternoon after lunch we will go on a drive through the Connecticut and New York State countryside, We will go through Sharon CT, Amenia New York, Millbrook New York (rest stop), cross a covered bridge in Bulls Bridge CT and head to Kent CT (rest stop) and Housatonic Meadows State Park (rest stop) and end up at the Fall Village Inn for dinner at 6:00PM.

Sunday Morning we will gather in the parking lot of the Wake Robin Inn at 10:00 AM and drive to the American Mural Project in Winsted CT. We will drive accoss another covered bridge and stop in the very picuturesque town of Litchfied CT. We will arrive at the Wall at 12:30 PM and artist Ellen Griesedieck will give us a private tour, Hopefully, if his schedule permits, Ellen's husband race driver Sam Posey will be there as well.

Ellen has not asked for anything in return for having us as her guests but I think it would be very appropriate if we all became members of AMP . I already am a member but intend to make an additional contribution.

There are 3 suggested giving levels to enable everyone to enroll and be counted as an AMP Member:

$120 (the Mural is 120 feet wide)
$48 (the Mural is 48 feet high)
$6 (the Mural is 6 feet deep)
Any other amount would be appreciated

Don't forget to bring your checkbooks and keep in mind that the AMP building is not heated so dress warmly!
