This is my first post, so hello everyone! Well two weeks ago purchased my first BMW, X5 35i M-Sports Package, and I have to say I LOVE IT! Wish I would have had the money to drive a BMW my whole life. Anyway, while out and about on Saturday got a nice big bird poop on the hood. It was overcast and about 75 degrees so wasn't that worried about it. Sunday morning cleaned the poop off and it had etched the paint. The damage was smooth to the touch, but looked dull at an angle.

Took it to the dealer and they were able to buff the damage out yesterday. They also applied some product that keeps this from occuring (which it was supposted to have had initially). I never had this issue with the 2 Chevrolets, Honda, GMC, and Nissan vehicles I owned in the past. Still LOVE the BMW though, but be careful out there guys with bird poop!!!
