I'm new here and this might sound like a stupid question, but(here I go) after you changed out all your coolant parts, did you bleed the system properly? (Tip: You'll know if it's not properly bleed if your heater doesn't warm up.) I only say this because the same thing happened to me. My expansion tank cracked, so I changed it out. Filled it up without bleeding it and after running it for 5-10 minutes it said I needed coolant again. Filled it up again and AGAIN, on shut down, said it needed coolant. I started to panic because I thought I might of blown the head gasket. Anyways, If you did bleed the system properly, and your heater does work then it possibly sounds like a head gasket. How long did it overheat for?
