keep the car, I have the same problem, store the Z3 in the winter then drive my 325XI around. With 3 cars, the insurance on the Z3 and 325XI is a lot cheaper than a new vehicle, multi-car discount, small amount of miles driven on each vehicle etc etc etc.
I've done all the updates on the Z3 so enjoy the fruits of your labor as well ! I just have to keep an eye on the Z3 over the winter for those small critters......................
