In terms of prices, private sales CANNOT Be less than CPOs... Not possible. Simply stated nobody would buy the higher priced private ones, and everyone will buy the CPOs!!

You may be confusing asking price with selling price.

You should spend some time trying to understand the relationships between the original MSRP, the lease residual, what BMWFS offers these cars back to the dealer for and what dealers are paying for trade in. Resale value seems to be driven down to residual (not precisely, but this s a major influence)
