I had a light go out, the ignitor was bad. I searched all the DIY's and became a xenon lighting expert. I bought a used part on Ebay and it's worked like a champ for about a year now.
You can do this at home. I used this DIY link for instructions. http://www.bigpatsfans.com/hl/headlight.htm
The back cover was a PITA but keep at it. It does come off - it takes a little patience.
