My 2 cents.
Spend some time and find the car you really want. It took me 6 months to find mine. I bought a 2002 530i with sport package in July of 2011 that had less than 52,000 miles. Previous owner took good care of the car. In my opinion I wouldn't want one without the sport package.
Look for a while and don't buy the first one. When you find the right one you will be ready to pull the trigger without as much apprehension.
